Maintenance/Repairs of LPG Central Heating Systems in Congleton
Somerford CW12 - A few weeks ago the flame kept cutting out on the boiler, this was seen to be due to a drop in the system water pressure. The pressure was increased by refilling the water into the system, and it has been found that this has had to be done almost daily for the last couple of weeks.
At the weekend I tried to inflate the expansion vessel, which seemed to work for a while, but then the air pressure in the vessel also reduced, and so the water pressure reduced. I have assumed this is due to the expansion vessel bag leaking, as I can't see any obvious leaks at radiators or pipework (though some of the pipe do run under the canopy above the front door.)
The error I have been getting has been F24, which is indicative of low water pressure. (manual for boiler is on the kitchen sofa)
This morning however was different; the error is F28, which indicates a gas supply issue, or broken ignition. We are supplied by bottled gas, and the gas system is full.
When an attempt has been made to reset the flame, a physical shudder can be seen as it tries to ignite and fails. Has the ignition broken due to the number of times I have had to reset the flame due to low water pressure?
