IV3 - I would like old condenser boiler (ravenheat) and old nelson water tank replaced with a combi boiler (A rated). Would like the nelson tank removed. The boiler & water tank are in different rooms (boiler in bedroom and water tank in kitchen)- this will therefore need piping under the floor (two bed flat so not a huge area). Though it's not great having a boiler in the wardrobe in bedroom, I don't think there is a non-bedroom it can go in as no outdoor wall space in kitchen. Balloch IV2 - Our current system is OUT OF USE In previous years we had solid fuel central heating which was good When the gas came to our village we were were asked to change to gas. and we did.Our existing small bore system was extended on their advice to a few extra radiators and this resulted in an unsatisfactory system with radiators having to be bled every day.We have had no central heating since the 31st December 2010 This being after the gas board was called due to loud banging from the boiler and a notice put on the boiler saying DO NOT USE As we are both over 70 we are now looking to see where we are are now looking to get an offer to reinstall or go back to solid fuel After looking on the internet I see that it is not a good idea to add extra radiators to small bore piping Also the distance from the header tank to the boiler may have been the cause of the banging noise Please note that I am having a problem with my incoming e-mail at present
