SE2 - The property currently has an old boiler in an extension which feed a storage tank in the upstairs bathroom, and is believed to operate via a gravity flow system. The requirement is for the existing boiler/tank to be removed and a combi boiler installed in its place, utilising the existing pipe work wherever possible. Additional detail below:
• The new combi is to be located in the kitchen, which is adjacent to the extension, thus meaning the pipe work alterations are minimal (exiting boiler to proposed combi position = approx. 2.5m).
• Pipe work alterations will be needed in the current tank location (bathroom airing cupboard), although it is believed that these works will be minimal.
• There are no changes required to the current radiator positioning.
• The current boiler is out of use and is likely broken, although I will not moving into the property for another 1.5/2 months is there is no rush
Any cheaper options, rationalisations or more cost effective solutions will be considered, and please propose any cost saving measures along with the quotations.
SE2 - Boiler core corroded and leaking - boiler requires replacing; also require new pump and tri-valve to be fitted
SE2 - Replace very old back boiler with modern combi or condenser; will need new boiler location (ideally in kitchen) and link to gas input + hot water / CH + ventilation duct plus possible removal of hot water tank if applicable
SE2 - Replace old boiler for combi boiler and remove old hot water tank
