IP7 - We have a small brick-built Victorian house in the country near Hadleigh. Our old oil-fired boiler is leaking and spare parts are no longer available. We would like a quote for a new boiler. We have been advised that the ten radiators can be retained but that they need new valves. Is this sufficient information for a quote?
Maintenance/Repairs of Gas Central Heating Systems in Ipswich
IP1 - We have Classic LXFF&FF Fanned Flue Gas Boiler. Size FF230. Problem is: Boiler switches on - Pilot flame comes on - but Main Flame is not light up!? The Pressure in system is normal, around 1.5 Bar. What is wrong? I know our boiler is not produced already, but spare parts is available through internet.
Please help us ASAP.

IP4 - Current boiler is Potterton performa - 10 years old. Keeps breaking down ? pressure problem. The system was flushed through and the pressure vessel was replaced in sept 2011. Another engineer had wanted to replace the diverter valve to fix the problem! it has broken down again in dec and then this week with no hot water or heating. I have agents looks after the property for me as I live in sydney (tenants in it). It is frustrating not knowing what is wrong with it. How much would it be to replace the whole boiler system? I would want a cost effective boiler. The current one is on the wall in the kitchen (outside wall). Is there a model that has won 'which' magazine awards recently. (i haven't had time to google). Any advice and prices would be great - and if work could be done asap that would be fantastic. IP4 - My Baxi Solo boiler stopped working Christmas Eve and I was told that I needed a new fan, but Home Serve have now told me the part is obsolete and I therefore need a new boiler ASAP.. I currently have a gas fire which I can use and an emersion heater for emergency hot water, but the house is very cold, so I need to get this sorted asap.
IP4 - Boiler is on last legs we think! Can't risk a failure with a six month old baby!! Getting quotes for replacement boiler. Spent a bit on the old system last year.
IP4 - Replace old Baxi Genesis 80 with new boiler any make. House has approx 10 rads. There has been a recent repair on the air valve and now other faults have appeared so I need to get the boiler changed. I currently have a teneant in the property and need the works done asap although I do not want to pay a premium for this. A plumber friend not in the area has advised I should be looking at a val·····t eco tech as a replacement for long life in hard water area but as I intend to sell in near future price is the main issue.
IP5 - replace Ideal Mexico RS80 boiler on 5 bed property. 3 or 4 current radiators have cold spots. No TRV fitted as yet, Much prefer no external gas pipes if supply considered as needing upgrading.

(Insalled June 2005, but now requires replacement) The remainder of the property is heated by electric fires and storage heaters. I would like to install a full central heating system, but for now can only afford to install the central heating boiler with a view to adding the radiators over the next 12 months.
