BDR Thermea originates from the De Dietrich company which first began in 1684. Over the years the business has grown to be a world leader in the heating industry.
Today, BDR Thermea claims to have a market worth over €16 billion of annual sales. Operating as a manufacturer and distributor of innovative heating and hot water systems and services, the company has a top market position in six countries: the UK, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy.
BDR Thermea has a particularly strong presence in Western Europe where it owns and sells some of the best known brands in the continent for heating products such as domestic and commercial boilers, low carbon products, hot water storage cylinders, electric water heating products and fires.
These include boilers and other appliances by Baxi, Remeha, Heatrae Sadia, Potterton, BaxiRoca and Baymak.
The Baxi Group is now operating under the BDR Thermea brand. The tranisition follows the Baxi Group’s merger with De Dietrich Remeha in 2009. Individual brands, including Baxi, Remeha, Potterton, Main, Heatrae Sadia, Potterton Commercial, Andrews Water Heaters and Valor will remain unchanged.
