The aroTHERM hybrid system can work alongside a current gas, oil or LPG boiler but for “maximum savings and performance”, Vaillant recommend you use a high efficiency Vaillant boiler.

uniSTOR Hot Water Cylinders for Heat Pumps

Why Consider a Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump?

3 x More Efficient Than a Boiler

While even the most efficient boiler is 92-93% efficient (losing the remaining 7-8% of energy through waste gases), an air source heat pump is 300% efficient. This means that for every 1kW of energy an air source heat pump uses, it produces 3kW of energy. This high efficiency should deliver cheaper energy bills.

Hybrid Heating Solution

A hybrid heating solution is the first step towards a future of greener and cheaper renewable energy with the familiarity of a traditional boiler. Essentially, it’s the best of both worlds and one of the most advanced examples of this innovative technology on the market today.

Quiet Mark Award

Vaillant understand that you want your household appliances to do their job not only efficiently and reliably, but also as quietly as possible. The aroTHERM heat pump has been awarded the Quiet Mark which is recognition of their achievement in this area.

Reduce Carbon Footprint

Although heat pumps use a small amount electricity to run they can cut a home’s carbon emissions by as much as 50%. Using air to heat your home and hot water rather than fossil fuels like gas and oil will significantly lower both your impact on the environment and your energy bills.

Earn Money Through the RHI Scheme

When installed by an MCS accredited company, an aroTHERM air-to-water heat pump could earn you money through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. The RHI scheme pays owners of eligible renewable heating systems for each unit of energy the heat pump generates for 7 years after it has been commissioned. The exact payments you’ll receive will vary depending on the current tariff, the technology installed and how much energy you generate.

How Much Does a Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump Cost?

To buy and install an air source heat pump you’re likely to be looking at costs between £6,000 – £12,000. However, it’s important to remember that once the upfront cost is taken care of you can look forward to many years of energy savings and potential earnings through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme which will go a long way towards repaying your investment.

The price you’ll pay will depend on the make and model of the heat pump you choose and which company to carries out the installation, as well as the complexity of the work involved.
