BOSCH goes pink for charity

7th Dec 2010

A one-off pink boiler has been put up for charity auction in support of breast cancer awareness.

The leading boiler manufacturer Worcester, Bosch Group, has auctioned off a unique pink boiler through ebay for charity. ‘Breakthrough Breast Cancer’ and ‘The Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign’ have split the £1,650 raised from the package, which includes installation.

Sue Pennington, consumer brand manager at Worcester said: “We are delighted to be able to help two such worthwhile causes and came up with the idea of creating a unique boiler.”

The boiler is an A-rated Greenstar high efficiency condensing boiler and should prove popular with its new Devon-based owner. As well as funding vital research into breast cancer, the winning bidder will now enjoy the boiler’s 90 per cent efficiency. This means that 90 per cent of energy used is turned into heat, allowing the owner to save money and be more environmentally friendly in the process.

Sue Pennington added: “The magenta pink boiler will certainly stand out in someone’s kitchen as well as helping save lives, energy and money in the long run.”
