British Gas Boiler Scrappage Scheme Deadline Looms

29th Sep 2011

Time is running out if want to get £400 off a new boiler, with closure of the British Gas boiler scrappage scheme imminent.

Reopened last month, you have until 2 October to take up the offer, which gives customers the chance to get a brand new Worcester, Bosch boiler at a discounted price.

By trading in your old boiler for one of the eligible Worcester, Bosch boilers you’ll be entitled to receive a £400 discount. Boilers from other manufacturers are also eligible for a £200 discount.

According to information garnered from previous boiler scrappage schemes, Which? has estimated that the average cost of replacing a gas boiler is £2,459. Installing a modern energy efficient central heating boiler can help households achieve substantial savings on their energy bills.

The main aim of boiler scrappage schemes is to make energy efficient boilers more affordable to households. The scheme is open to anyone interested in installing an A-rated energy efficient new boiler.

British Gas ran a similar boiler scrappage scheme back in June.
