solar panel manufacturers to heat the aforementioned thermal store?

From my very limited knowledge i'd guess that it'd be better to do the former, however I'm sure somewhere along the line i've heard that the second option may be better and more efficient.

    Can anyone help?

      Options for Solar Hot Water

I think it will depend on your system.

The solar panel hot water heating works all the time ie you done switch it off.

Many have a heater installed in their hot water tank so if the sun does not heat the water you can then switch on the heater and switch it back off when the water is hot enough, this heats the water in your hot water tank.

The internal one you speak of if not in your main hot water tank then it must either have a seperate tank unlikely or it is a kind of heat as you use it similar to an electric shower.
