What is a boiler warranty?

Boilers are long term investments, an appliance we want to be able to rely on day after day for many years to come. So knowing that the manufacturer of your brand new boiler will be on hand should anything go wrong gives you that extra peace of mind.

This is where boiler warranties come in. Normally lasting between 1-10 years, a warranty is the manufacturer saying that they'll repair a fault should one arise during that time. You can gauge how much faith a manufacturer has in their product by the length of a warranty, the longer the warranty, the more faith the manufacturer has in their boiler. How many years the warranty goes on for isn't the only important thing to note however, as each one will cover different things.

Standard Intergas warranty

Intergas boilers come with a 12 month warranty as standard but depending on the model you have installed, the warranty can extend from 3-10 years.

What's covered by the warranty?

During your warranty period, Intergas will cover component failures and not any connected systems or accessories.

Terms and conditions

Checking the terms and conditions of a warranty is always important, no matter which manufacturer you decide to go with, as there may be some important information hidden away.

During the warranty period, your Intergas boiler must be serviced annually by a registered Gas Safe engineer, with the details being recorded in the Benchmark Checklist, the price of this service isn't included in your warranty. Should this not be done, your warranty will only last 12 months.

How to Register Your Warranty

Your warranty will only be effective once the boiler has been registered, which must be done within 30 days of the installation. To do this, you can either send them your completed warranty card in the post or fill on the registration form on their website.
