Mistral Boiler Warranty
What is a boiler warranty?
A boiler warranty is something you will need to look into when purchasing a brand new boiler as they'll provide you with the peace of mind that should something go wrong, you're covered.
Normally lasting between 1-10 years, boiler warranties are a promise from the manufacturer that they'll repair any faults your boiler might encounter. You can get a good sense of how reliable a boiler might be from the length of the warranty, the longer the warranty the more dependable the boiler.
How long a boiler warranty extends to shouldn't be the only thing you take into your considerations though. There's likely to be lots of small print that tells you what you'll be covered for and what you're not. So that you know what's covered with a Mistral warranty, we've put together this handy guide.
Who are Mistral?
Mistral have been producing condensing and non-condensing boilers for over 40 years. Their range of oil fired boilers are fit for domestic and commercial settings and are manufactured right here in the UK. Learn more about the range of boilers Mistral have to offer here on Boiler Guide.
Standard Mistral warranty
The majority of Mistral's range of condensing boilers come with 2 years of warranty on the parts and 5 years on the heat exchanger.
How to extend the warranty
Mistral do offer extended boiler warranty schemes but will have to be contacted directly for more information.
What's Covered by the Warranty?
During the 2 year parts warranty, you'll be covered for parts used in the original manufacture of the boiler such as the burner, controls, valves and pumps. The 5 year warranty covers the heat exchanger only.
Terms and Conditions
When your boiler is being installed, the work has to be carried out by a qualified engineer. After the installation, your new Mistral boiler must be serviced within 12 months by an OFTEC registered engineer, otherwise the warranty will become invalid.
How to Register Your Warranty
You'll need to register the warranty with Mistral before the warranty becomes valid. To do this, the engineer carrying out the installation will have to fill in the guarantee registration form which must then be posted to Mistral.
