A warranty period will tend to last between 1-10 years from the day of installation, depending on the manufacturer and model. While you're in the warranty period, the manufacturer will send an engineer to your home whenever there's an issue to leave you with a functioning boiler.

Standard Viessmann warranty
Viessmann gas boilers come with a 3-5 year parts and labour warranty, as standard. Meanwhile, their oil system boilers have a 2 year standard warranty.
How to extend the warranty
The warranty attached to Viessmann boilers can be extended to as long as 12 years (depending on the range) when certain conditions are met. To benefit from the longest possible warranty, Viessmann typically state that the installation must be performed by a Viessmann Trained Installer.
What's covered by the warranty?
During the warranty period of Viessmann products, they will fix or replace any manufacturing or material defects free of charge.
Terms and conditions
During the warranty period, Viessmann will repair or replace any boiler parts that have been manufactured by themselves, and are proved to be defective in material or workmanship. The warranty doesn't cover any corrosion or deposits, including water corrosion and water borne deposits.
To keep your warranty vaild, you will need to arrange an annual service for your Viessmann boiler.

You will need to register the warranty online, via the Viessmann website, which you'll need some personal details for and also details of the boiler, so keep them to hand.
