What is a boiler warranty?

Boilers are long term investments that you want to be able to rely on for a long period of time. That's where boiler warranties can give you the peace of mind that should anything go wrong after the installation (touch wood) that you'll be covered.

You'll find that the length of a warranty period tends to be between 1-10 years, so you can see which boilers a manufacturer believe in the most by the length. If you spot a long warranty, it's important to also take a look at what's covered during that time. Depending on the manufacturer, warranties may only cover labour costs or certain parts of the boiler for example.

Standard Ferroli warranty

Depending on the model, the majority of Ferroli boilers come with 1-5 years as standard. If you purchase one of the Modena HE boilers however, they will come with a 5 year parts and labour warranty as standard, with the option to extend this to a 7-10 year warranty.

What's covered by the warranty?

During the warranty period, Ferroli will repair or replace any parts proved to be faulty from manufacture. If any parts are replaced then warranty for replacement parts ends when the warranty of the appliance expires.

Annual services must be carried out to keep the warranty valid but the cost of these won't be covered by the warranty.

Terms and conditions

To keep your warranty valid, you'll need to have proof of purchase (so keep it safe!), ensure the installation is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, have the installer complete the Benchmark Gas Boiler System Commissioning Checklist and make sure that your Ferroli boiler is serviced every 12 months, again by a Gas Safe registered engineer .

How to register your warranty

If you purchase a boiler that comes with a 5 year warranty, you can register by calling Ferroli. For those of you with 7-10 years of warranty, the installer will need to register it online via Ferroli's website.
