What is a Boiler warranty?
Providing your home with heating and hot water for many years to come is the least you expect of your brand new boiler, that's why it's good to know that the manufacturer will be on hand should an issue arise. That's where boiler warranties come in.
Usually lasting between 1-15 years, the length of a warranty period can give you a sense of how much the manufacturer believes in their boiler. The length of the warranty isn't the only thing you'll need to consider when comparing warranties, you'll also need to know what they cover.

Rather than a warranty, Glow-worm boilers come with a guarantee. This essentially means that they promise to fix any faults caused by the manufacturing process. This is as opposed to simply promising to have an engineer inspect the issue.

Standard Glow-worm guarantee
Glow-worm boilers come with 2-7 years of guarantee as standard but some models are eligible for up to 15 years of warranty through Glow-worm's Club Energy installers.
What's covered by the guarantee?
A Glow-worm guarantee covers you for the repair of any defects related to the manufacture of your Glow-worm appliance. The repair must be carried out by a Glow-worm accredited engineer and you'll be covered for parts and labour.
During the guarantee, you'll only be covered for boiler component failures, if the issue is caused by contaminated water in the system you could then be charged for the engineer's visit.
Terms and conditions
During guarantee, your Glow-worm boiler must be serviced at least 15 months after installation and at the latest within 15 months' of its last service by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If Glow-worm carry out this service, the cost isn't covered by the guarantee.
How to register your guarantee
To register your boiler guarantee with Glow-worm, simply fill in your details online via Glow-worm's website. This has to be done within 30 days of installation.
