What is a Boiler warranty?
With a boiler warranty, you'll have your brand new boiler installed safe in the knowledge that the manufacturer has made a promise to look after you should something go wrong.
The period of time that a warranty lasts will depend on the manufacturer but you'll find that they tend to be between 1-10 years. As well as varying in length, warranties offer different things from brand to brand.
That's why it's important to look through the terms and conditions of your warranty to know exactly when you can rely on the manufacturer. In this guide, we take a look at the warranty offered by Main Heating.

Standard Main warranty
Depending on the boiler you have installed, the standard warranty will range from 3-5 years but only if you keep up with their terms and conditions, otherwise the warranty will be limited to 12 months.
How to extend the warranty
Main Heating have an installer loyalty scheme called Baxi works, if you're a member then they offer the opportunity to purchase extended warranties for some boilers.
What's covered by the warranty?
During the warranty period, Main will replace parts proved faulty from the date of manufacture, as they see fit and this will be free of charge.
Terms and conditions
It's important to know that when you're in a warranty period, you have to keep it valid. To do this, the Main boiler must be serviced annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
>How to register your warranty
The boiler warranty must be registered with Baxi by either yourself or the installer, within 30 days of installation and can be done online via Main's website.
