The E-Tech W 22 Tri is a wall-mounted electric boiler with an output rating of 28 kW that’s perfect for homes with a 3-phase electricity supply.
Why choose an electric boiler?
As the UK targets lower carbon emissions, home heating is one area that needs to change drastically. Most homes are heated by gas boilers, a fossil fuel that releases carbon into the atmosphere when burnt. Electric boilers are a possible alternative.
Electric boilers don’t release any waste gases into the atmosphere during operation, there’s zero risk of carbon monoxide leaking into the home, can provide a quick response to the heating being turned on, can be installed just about anywhere and with there being very few moving parts the risk of a fault forming is greatly reduced.
How efficient is the E-Tech W Tri?
The E-Tech W 28 Tri has an efficiency rating of 37% and ErP D-rating for heat. Electric boiler efficiency can appear confusing as a result of electricity production being considered carbon intensive.
Where can this boiler be installed?
Electric boilers offer great flexibility when it comes to the installation. Gas and oil boilers must be installed on an external wall as a flue pipe needs to be fitted which releases waste gases into the atmosphere. Electric boilers don’t produce these gases so there’s no need for a flue.
Are there any alternative options?
In addition to the 22 kW model, the E-Tech W Tri range also includes output ratings of 15 kW, 28 kW and 36 kW which will help when it comes to finding a suitable heating system for the demands of your home.
What are the key features of the E-Tech Tri?
The E-Tech 28 W Tri is suitable for 3-phase electricity supplies and comes equipped with 10 litre water storage, expansion vessel, pressure gauge, safety valve, low water pressure switch, pump and automatic air vent. It can provide dual temperature outputs making it compatible with radiators and underfloor heating, removable heating elements constructed from INCOLOY 800 stainless steel, modulation based on heating demand and built-in control circuit protected by internal 3 amp MCB. There’s also an integrated circulating pump which helps to shorten the installation time.
How long is the warranty period?
ACV have attached a 1 year warranty as standard to their range of E-Tech W Tri electric boilers, to help give you peace of mind that you’re covered after installation.
