The Outdoor Mega Combi Plus ODMC 5 oil boiler from Mistral has been designed to be installed outside your home to save space and is floorstanding. It is available as a either a condensing or non-condensing unit.
The 50kW output makes this boiler perfectly suited for the larger homes with a higher demand for heating and hot water such as those with multiple bathrooms. This boiler is available in a range of other outputs between 41-70kW. This boiler is an A rated appliance with a high efficiency rating of 93% which should help to keep fuel bills to a minimum.
You don’t need a feed tank in the attic or a storage cylinder in as this unit is a Combi boiler i.e. it will supply heating and hot water on demand using the mains water supply. The integral 230V electric immersion heater (which is installed in the heat store) means that in the event of an oil failure (or when it is not required to operate fully) the boiler will provide a backup supply of domestic hot water through the immersion heater. It also has a multi directional flue outlet, pre punched pipe access point and is able to be used in tandem operations. Frost protection is fitted as standard to protect the unit water from freezing over in the cold months when the boiler is needed most. The technology is housed in a high quality, corrosion resistant casing which enables front access servicing.
