The Outdoor Sealed System OD SS1 is a non-condensing unit designed and manufactured by oil boiler specialists, Mistral. This particular model has an output of 20kW which means it is best suited to smaller homes with one bathroom and not such as high demand for heating and hot water. Other outputs are available ranging from 15-41kW and it is also available with condensing technology.
A particular benefit with this boiler is its high efficiency rating of 93% which makes it an A rated model. It is floorstanding and designed to be installed outside your home so is finished in a weather resistant, zinc phosphate coating to give it optimum corrosion protection. It has also been given a green textured finish to help it blend in with its surroundings.
Key features include the choice of 2 or 4 port options, circulating pump, a 12 litre expansion vessel, safety valve, pressure gauge, automatic air vent, front servicing access, a multi directional flue outlet and a pre punched access point which is able to be used in tandem operations. It is compact in size at only 480mm wide to save space in the garden and is protected from the winter weather by a frost stat. This is a System boiler which means it will send hot water to your radiators and a sealed hot water storage cylinder.
