Mistral’s Outdoor Utility OD3 26-35kW Regular Oil Boiler is an non-condensing unit which has been designed to be installed outdoors. It has an efficiency rating of 87% making it B-rated and with a 35kW output is perfectly suited for medium to larger sized homes with multiple bathrooms. It’s also available as a condensing model and in a range of other outputs from 15-41kW.
An important benefit of installing the boiler outside is that there’s no need for an oil line in your home which should mean a much cleaner installation. It has a fully insulated weather resistant casing including zinc phosphate to give optimum corrosion protection. The green textured finish and compact size of just 480mm wide help the unit to blend in with your garden. Other benefits to note include the frontal access for easy servicing, 2 or 4 port option, multi directional flue outlet as well as a pre punched pipe access point to be used in tandem operations. A frost stat is included as standard for protection through the cold winter months when the unit is needed most.
This boiler is a Regular boiler so it needs to be installed as part of a heating system alongside a hot water storage cylinder, cold water storage tank and a feed and expansion tank, both of which are usually installed in the attic. This means it may not be suitable for homes where space is restricted.
