The Sealed System S2 is a non-condensing, floor-standing oil boiler that’s been designed and manufactured by Mistral. Housed in a high-quality white casing, this is a compact unit, measuring at only 410mm wide, that can be neatly tucked under a work surface with ease.
This is a highly efficient unit, with an efficiency rating of 93% and A rating. With an output rating of 26kW, this System boiler is perfectly suited to smaller homes with one bathroom that don’t have such a high demand for heating and hot water. If you have a higher demand for heating and hot water, you’ll need a bigger output, which you can find within this range as 15kW to 41kW outputs are also available. You get a lot of choice with the boilers in this range as there are condensing and non-condensing options as well as internal and external units.
There are many features in this unit, including a pre-installed water heating system, circulating pump, 12 litre expansion vessel, safety valve, pressure gauge, automatic air vent and pre-punched pipe entry points that can be positioned at the side and back helping to allow for a quick and easy installation. Also included is a 2 or 4 port option, front servicing, conventional or balanced flues, a pre-punched pipe access point and it can be used in tandem option.
As this is a System boiler, it directly heats your central heating system and hot water for a storage cylinder. Most of the important parts of the hot water and heating system, such as the pump and expansion vessel, are built-in, making it quicker and cleaner to install. You’ll also get a fast response to demand for heating and hot water, plus, you don't need to have a feed and expansion tank in the loft.
