Product description

The Fusion Comet is a combi electric boiler designed and manufactured by the Electric Heat Company. The wall-mounted finish and 9 kW output rating make it suitable for smaller homes and flats.

Why choose an electric boiler?

Using fossil fuels to heat our homes isn’t sustainable. While natural gas and oil are effective for heating, burning them releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, a key cause of climate change. Electric heating is one alternative and offers a number of benefits: no emissions, zero risk of a carbon monoxide leak into the home, quick response to the central heating going on, flexible installation and fewer moving parts to reduce risk of a fault.

How efficient is a Fusion Comet electric boiler?

Fusion Comet electric boilers are highly efficient, which means that they’re able to turn all of the fuel into heat for your home, which is why they have an efficiency rating of 100%. The ErP rating on the other hand is a D, which can seem confusing but is that low because electricity production is currently considered carbon intensive.

Where can electric boilers be installed?

As electric boilers have no need for a flue, you have near complete freedom with where to have a Fusion Comet installed. Plus, as a compact unit, it won’t take up much space.

Is an electric boiler right for my home?

As this model has a 9kW output rating, it’s perfectly suited to homes with 6 radiators and a single bathroom.

Does the Fusion Comet range include any alternative options?

As well as this 9 kW model, the Fusion Comet range also includes a 6 kW model (4 radiators), a 12KW boiler (8 radiators) and a 14.4kW unit (10 radiators).

What are the key features of the Fusion Comet electric boiler?

Features of the Fusion Comet electric combi boiler include an inbuilt programmer with system diagnostics, wireless thermostat, reduced boiler cycling that could reduce energy usage by 15%, energy saving smart pump, full power modulation, stainless steel heat exchanger, a high current thermal cut-out, digital pressure gauge, magnetic filter tank, solar DHW connection and an inbuilt controller which gives you easy access to the boiler settings to allow you to have maximum control over the unit.
How long is the warranty period?

Fusion Comet boilers are available with a 2 year warranty as standard, while there’s a 10 year warranty on the hot water cylinder.
