Why choose an electric boiler?
Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas and oil to heat our homes isn’t sustainable and is increasing the amount of carbon in the atmosphere - a major cause of climate change. Electricity is one of the alternatives and it offers a number of benefits: zero emissions, no risk of a carbon monoxide leak, quick response to turning the central heating on, flexible installation, no need for a flue or condensate pipe and fewer moving parts which reduces the chance of a fault.
How efficient is a SlimJim electric boiler?
SlimJim electric boilers have a 100% efficiency rating - which can help to keep your energy bills down. However, electric boilers have a low ErP rating of D which is a result of electricity production which is considered carbon intensive as in most cases it involves the burning of fossil fuels.
Is a SlimJim Electric Flow boiler right for my home?
With an output rating of 7kW, this electric boiler is best suited to smaller homes with one bathroom and between 4-6 radiators.
Does the SlimJim range offer any alternative options?
The Electric Heating Company offer a number of outputs in this range, including: 4 kW, 10 kW, 12 kW and 14.4kW. The 4 kW is suitable for the smaller homes with 3-4 radiators, the 10 kW and 12 kW models suit homes with 8 radiators and the 14.4kW is best for larger homes with 10 radiators
What are the key features of the SlimJim electric boiler range?
SlimJim Flow electric boilers have a number of features, including virtually silent operation, space-saving minimalistic design, choice between volt free or 230v control connections, 6-stage heating, easy fit connectors and sensors, inbuilt fault finding diagnostics, suitable for S-plan configuration (allows you to select heating only or hot water only or both at the same time), a unique run dry water level sensor that protects the heat exchanger from running dry in the event of system water loss, a stainless steel heat exchanger that’s fully insulated to minimise energy heat loss, a boiler temperature range of between 30-80 degrees and a unique high current safety cut-out device to protect the boiler from overheating.
How long is the warranty period?
Available with a 2 year warranty, with the option of being extended to 3 years, you’ll have the peace of mind that you’re well covered by the Electric Heating Company long after the installation.
