There are OK. I have 2 fitted in separate rental properties. One has had British Gas out twice, the other has been trouble free. The syphon on combi boilers is basically just a water trap on the condensate drain. I think the size of the trap is a little small and this means that if it isn't cleared every year religiously it can block and cause the boiler to go into fault. 2 minutes cleans it out. I fits serviced it will be OK.
This boiler has barely worked since it was installed. It has broken down time after time. Absolute rubbish!
These boilers are absolute rubbish. I had one installed 29 months ago by Help Link. In that time I have had 3 breakdowns (2 siphons blocked and a fan failure). Would never buy a Vokers boiler again
